So apparently the ink jet acetate sheets can't be used anywhere in the school. So I bought laser printing sheet form the printmaking workshop. And the size is only A4.
I remade the frames into an A4 size and printed the acetate sheets at a print shop for £5 per sheet!! Too expensive, but the results are pretty cool. Plus, the print shop guy names Issac was a pretty chill dude so I want to go and print at his shop again.
WHAT IS GOING WELL AND WHAT ISN'T?
The frames are 'clean-looking' and it looks pretty professional. Not like any old rubbish, Making it into a three-dimensional thing is pretty cool. But I think the whole acetate problem of not being able to print it, ink-jet or laser-print, A3 or A4, was a delay in the project, should have maybe considered talking and getting feedback from my peers earlier.
HOW COULD I HAVE PREVENTED THAT?
talking to my tutors and giving them information about what project I plan to do quickly. Checking on with the print workshop and the 3D workshop on what materials are available and would be most suited for my work.
WHAT HAVE I LEARNT ABOUT HOW I LIKE TO WORK AS AN ARTIST/DESINGER?
I like to make things by hand, using woodwork. I like nailing things and gluing things and all that cool stuff. Maybe I should challenge myself into doing other things, like print making, because that's the same, like hand making stuff. Photoshop is cool, but I don't really know what 'graphic-desgin looking' things are, so the outcomes don't really look too appealing to me.
